I’m the hands and heart behind YarnWorks319, a cozy corner of the internet where crochet, creativity, and mental health meet — sometimes neatly, sometimes in a tangled little pile on the couch.

I crochet because it helps me breathe.

For me, yarn isn’t just yarn. It’s grounding. It’s rhythm. It’s something soft to hold onto when my thoughts are loud or my emotions feel too big. Crochet slows my body down when my brain won’t, and it gives my hands something gentle and productive to do. I’m the type that just cannot sit and do nothing – If I’m sitting, I’m crocheting.

I crochet many different things, but I especially love crocheting blankets and amigurumi — blankets because they feel like comfort you can wrap around yourself, and amigurumi because those sweet stuffies are playful, forgiving, and full of personality.

This blog exists for anyone who:

• crochets for calm
• struggles with anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or other mental illness
• wants creativity without pressure
• believes messy stitches still count
